2794[edit]

The UESC Marathon is attacked in the second wave of the Pfhor offensive.
Colonists watch as the Marathon comes under attack.
  • The Marathon came under attack by elements of the Pfhor Empire.[2] The initial attack was repulsed by ten Battleroids implied to be hidden by MIDA, but later both the Marathon and New Cascadia would be subjected to heavy orbital bombardment in what would come to be known as the contact event.[8]

2812[10][edit]

A colonist sprays crops on March 13th, 2812, presumably the year a novel contagion outbreak began.
2812, the outbreak of the novel contagion.
  • A novel contagion appeared in Tau Ceti IV bio-research and food facilities, particularly algae ponds used for protein cultivation, before spreading to other facilities.[11] It eventually infected colonists, causing illness and death.[10]

2827[10][edit]

A colonist enters the Anomaly on December 21st, 2827.
2827, the Anomaly appears.
  • The Anomaly erupted from the surface of Tau Ceti IV, causing significant disruption to colonization efforts due to its unpredictable effects on physics, biology, and technology (including AI systems).

2843[edit]

  • WEAVEworm p1 developed by Sekiguchi Genetics for reconstructive surgery on cybernetic bodies.[3]

2848[edit]

2893, start of Runner operations.

2893[edit]

  • Runner operations began. Six corporations vied for control of Tau Ceti's data and resources through independently contracted Runners.
  • A Runner's perception matrix was damaged during transfer to Tau Ceti IV and they narrowly escape a UESC lockdown event and potential elimination at the hands of Commander Orion.[9]
  • UESC officers under the command of Orion conducted operations in Outpost searching for an unknown target.[16]
  • Runners recovered a Temporal Fragment near the Anomaly in Dire Marsh.[17]
  • The work of a contracted Runner inspired Traxus to pivot its corporate objectives.
  • Marathon colony-side terminals began to come online, with messages from Durandal tempting Runners to board the Marathon and uncover its secrets. Some Runners organized mass alignment runs between terminal pairs, serving to bring the Marathon's camera systems back online.[18]
