New Cascadia was the first human colony established on Tau Ceti IV. Development was completed in 2787. At its peak, it had over 30,000 residents. In 2794 it suffered a violent attack from the Pfhor Empire. Subsequent issues with a novel contagion and the eruption of an alien Anomaly from the surface of the planet severely disrupted colonization efforts. Contact with the colony was lost in 2795. When the UESC Equanimity arrived in the system to conduct Runner operations as part of Project Goliath, the colony had been completely abandoned and most of its colonists had mysteriously vanished.
