After the UESC Marathon arrived in the Tau Ceti system, Dr. Song was one of the first colonists to set foot in the Dire Marsh Zone.[1]
Early in the colony's history, she recorded an audio log while inspecting agricultural water filters for what she called a "novel contagion".[2] Song would go on to dedicate a considerable amount of her time to understanding this contagion alongside her research partner, even as it ravaged the population's food supply and infected colonists.
Song would name the contagion Telomyces mosaica, and would ultimately die from its infection. Her corpse was found by Runners inside the Data Wall on Perimeter.[3]
