Marathon is a sci-fi, first person shooter series developed by Bungie which consists of the original Marathon Trilogy series (Marathon, Marathon 2: Durandal, Marathon Infinity) as well as Marathon, the revival of the same name. In addition to the video games, there is an ongoing alternative reality game coinciding with the revival of the franchise.
The Marathon series was preceded by Pathways Into Darkness, a horror FPS which is implied to take place within the same universe.
