Data repositories were utilized by the Unified Earth Space Council to store large amounts of digital data, most notably in the application of artificial intelligence and data relays.

In 2893, NuCaloric Agricultural AI Gaius contracted Runners with hacking data repositories at AI Uplink in Dire Marsh to recover a security recording of an incident when the colony's agricultural support AI, Darius, malfunctioned while Dr. Clarissa Song attempted to gain access to the Seed Vault.[1] They then asked Runners to download more data from the repositories at North or South Relay, gaining access to a failed routine maintenance log for Darius, adding further data to Gaius' investigation of New Cascadia's collapse and the cognitive decline of the colony's support AI.[2]
