In Marathon (2026). there are seven factions that are directly involved for players and hostile Runners.
Factions[edit]
CyberAcme[edit]
- Main article: CyberAcme Systems, Inc.
CyberAcme is the supplier of all Runner software and provides basic supplies and weaponry to Runners.
NuCaloric[edit]
- Main article: NuCaloric
NuCaloric provides Runners with health and medical gear, along with gear that provides boosts to Runners.
Traxus[edit]
- Main article: Traxus
Traxus is a provider of weaponry and mods. They provide lower rarity Weapons compared to other factions, in return for higher leveled mods.
Arachne[edit]
- Main article: Arachne
Arachne provides more rapid and damage dealing weapons. They provide little additional mods with the exception of the mods included on weapons.
Sekiguchi[edit]
- Main article: Sekiguchi Genetics
Sekiguchi Genetics provides the hardware for Runners, also providing the ability for Runners to boost the energy of various WEAVEworms.
