Survival Directive [1/1] is a priority contract for NuCaloric Agricultural that functions as the first chapter of NuCal's contract storyline.
Overview[edit]
Survival Directive [1/1] sees the player downloading New Cascadian geological survey data from an authorization terminal at Station, and a botany report from a terminal at Overflow.
Gameplay[edit]
Download geological survey in the southeast building in Station[edit]
The terminal to download the survey can be found on the top floor of the building.
The authorization terminal is located in one of the raised outbuildings closest to the breach in the Data Wall. After reaching the authorization terminal, the player is prompted:
DOWNLOAD GEOLOGICAL SURVEY
After downloading the geological survey:
✓ OBJECTIVE COMPLETE appears on screen.
A hologram springs to life nearby, displaying the topography of Perimeter.
- ONI: "Geological data secured."
- ONI: "Warning: Temporal aberrations detected."
Download botany report from second-floor terminal in Overflow[edit]
The terminal can be found in the southwest corner of the main building in Overflow.
The authorization terminal is located in a room on the west side of the main building. After reaching the authorization terminal, the player is prompted:
DOWNLOAD BOTANY REPORT
After downloading the botany report:
✓ OBJECTIVE COMPLETE
- ONI: "Botany data secured."
- ONI: "Warning: Schema logic absent."
After completing both objectives:
- ONI: "Priority contract fulfilled."
No exfil necessary.
Contract debrief[edit]
- Gaius: "Though it is no fault of yours, the reports you recovered are of low integrity. Corrupted. I am sure the colonists faced significant challenges from the moment they arrived in Tau Ceti."
- Gaius: "Humanity's reach ever exceeds its grasp. It falls on NuCaloric to make up the gap. To that end, disposable mercenaries, like you, are extremely useful."
- Gaius: "Because NuCaloric supplied the original colony mission, we have salvage rights on Tau Ceti. However, the UESC resists all legal attempts to exercise those rights."
- Gaius: "I am therefore offering compensation for your assistance in this matter, and... your discretion. Please, stand by for further instructions."
