FTL radio towers were a technology utilized by the Unified Earth Space Council to enable faster-than-light communications between systems, most notably between Tau Ceti and Sol.
Overview[edit]
The specifics of how a FTL radio tower functions are unknown, but the towers utilize a communications chip as part of their hardware. They appear to enable instantaneous communications even at a distance of 12 light-years, the distance between Tau Ceti and Sol.
History[edit]
It is likely the FTL radio towers on Tau Ceti IV were established by the UESC in 2893 after their arrival in-system with the UESC Equanimity. That same year, ONI collaborated with Runners on Tau Ceti IV to commandeer FTL radio towers from the UESC and enable communications with faction representatives in Sol.
