Zones were areas of operation on Tau Ceti IV deemed secure for the colonists of New Cascadia. They effectively divided "civilization" from the planet's untamed wilderness.
The zones of Tau Ceti were patrolled by security forces from the UESC Marathon prior to New Cascadia's collapse.
In 2893, multiple zones were hot spots for Runner operations.
