The Unified Earth Space Council, commonly abbreviated to UESC, is the organization governing humanity's space exploration and colonization efforts.
History[edit]
Third Martian War[edit]
The UEG and the UESC fought against MIDA and the Martian insurgents following the Misriah Massacre and the failed MIDA coup in 2446.[1]
Project Marathon[edit]
Under Project Marathon, the UESC commissioned the UESC Marathon to colonize Tau Ceti, which was launched in 2472 by UESC President Marcus Tiberius Buendia.[2]
Project Goliath[edit]
When the UESC lost communications with the colony by 2795, The UESC initiated Project Goliath to investigate the colony's fate with the UESC Equanimity in 2797. The Equanimity reached Tau Ceti IV by 2893.

Governance[edit]
The UESC is governed by the Unified Earth Space Security Council, and has a Secretary-General and a President.
Code words[edit]
- ASTROBLEME - unknown protocol, related to MANUNGAL containment procedures, named after "star wound" geological structures formed underneath impact craters.[3]
- MANUNGAL - refers to containment procedures intended to avoid destruction of highly dangerous targets, named after Mesopotamian goddess of prisons and the underworld.[3]
- NUNAMNIR - in the event a detected hostile is not a Runner, native Tau Ceti IV wildlife, or a malfunctioning UESC unit, named after the chief deity and storm god of the Mesopotamiam pantheon, also known as Enlil.[3]
- VERETHRAGNA - meaning unknown, not found in UESC reference material, named for a Zoroastrian god of war and victory.[4]
