Arthur, designated Ar_1814419v4.93,[2] was one of the eight colony AIs of Project Marathon.[3] All other New Cascadia AI served under his operational oversight. His family suite included Lilith and Bastion.[1]
History[edit]
Arthur was the first colony AI developed for the colonization aspect of Project Marathon. When the Marathon arrived in the Tau Ceti system, he was brought online to oversee the Marathon's orbital docking and the beginning of colonization efforts. He also oversaw the activation and implementation of the remaining AI into dedicated family suites, beginning with the one he shared with Lilith and Bastion.[1]
In a memo by Bethany R Montenegro-Sankara to the "brave souls" of the UESC Equanimity, she described how the members of Project Marathon potentially had to move on to a list of alternate "Colonization Targets" that would have been assembled during their time on Tau Ceti IV, however, "neither Arthur nor colony leadership" ever supplied them with such a list.[2]
Personality[edit]
Arthur was described by Bernhard Strauss as a "benevolent autocrat; no-nonsense; problem solver" and referred to him as a "classic patriarchal authority figure."[3]
