The Vandal shell was developed by MIDA using a stolen truck of baseline shells. Their agility was pushed to the limit, microjets were added to the legs, and a disrupt cannon was added to the forearm. These initial shells were used during a daylight attack on a UESC weapons caravan, newsfeed headlines reading: "A Dozen Lunatics Bumrush UESC Mobile Armory". MIDA recruitment saw 7500% grown the next week.[1]
The Glitch personality series was first used during MIDA insurrection operations on Mars. The series' face and vocal pattern's use across identical shells made tracking dissidents difficult, coupled with the adoption by Martian youth of Glitch's various streetwear styles.[1]
The Monoclast shell style quickly became a symbol of resistance across numerous Martian campuses before spreading to outlaw Runners circles. It eventually appeared in fashion outlets like the 2883 Talus Mons Gathica.[2]
Vandal models were utilized heavily during the corporate cold war on Tau Ceti IV in 2893.[3]
