Spark shielding is a type of energy shield technology built into biomata shells.[1]

History[edit]
On May 24th, 2888, a Sekiguchi Genetics purchase order was made for a prototype S-Series biomata. Among its full bios suite was listed PROTECT ORIENTED SPARK SHIELDING 4/40 with an X_INTEGRAL 12K BTU THRESHOLD.[1]
Production notes[edit]
- X is typically shorthand for experimental. BTU stands for British Thermal Unit. One BTU is the amount of energy required to raise 1 pound of water by 1 degree Fahrenheit. This means that the spark shielding mentioned in the Sekiguchi purchase order can withstand an amount of heat that would vaporize 10-12 pounds of water.
