This is a list of minor characters in the Marathon series. This list is not comprehensive and will likely change as Marathon (2026) updates.

Soren Gleison[edit]
A New Cascadian colonist whose uncle died of cryomedical complications onboard the Marathon. Working in close proximity to earth plants made him concerned about their effects on the local environment, posing that question at a Town Hall meeting. He was gifted a Bonsai tree by the AI Joy to try and help him with his grief.
Kuzmin, I[edit]
A terraplatforming engineer in New Cascadia. He wrote various personal logs, with his mental and physical health slowly deteriorating in each one.
Gus Moraine[edit]
CEO of NuCaloric. He supplied the UESC Marathon with a shipment of Drinkable Cheeseburgers, as a '...small gift from me to you… one that doesn't come close to expressing all our hopes for your mission.'

James B. Miller[edit]
James B. Miller was a writer and AI aficionado who wrote the 2320 book Life and Death of Intelligence, writing about Rampancy and its stages. His book was shown to the Security Officer after a blanket search of the Marathon's systems for the keyword 'Rampancy' was conducted by an unknown party.
Volker Von Müller[edit]
Volker Von Müller was the author of the Lost Network Packets. He was one of the staff onboard the Marathon, and was part of a group of people attempting to stall the alien invasion. He was later relocated by Durandal, likely onto the Boomer, and was asked to write a chronology of certain events the AI was interested in. His current whereabouts and fate are unknown.
Gharett White[edit]
Gheritt White was an allegorical 'man' who was in a prison and underwent a grotesque physical transformaton while contemplating the circumstances that brought him there. White likely does not actually exist, and was instead a metaphor, for what isn't certain.

F'tha[edit]
F'tha was a S'pht Major on Lh'owon, who wrote a terminal telling the Security officer of the S'pht royalty.
K'all[edit]
K'all was a 1st class Pfhor engineer, later demoted to 3rd class. They were responsible for creating an alternate footpath in Perimeter Station 7AF.
Re'eer[edit]
Commander 5th Class Re'eer was the Pfhor commander of Perimeter Station 7AF. Re'eer enjoyed studying texts in Narsh and Pfhoric, eventually faking their own death to find meaning in the pre-death words of Robnar the Nar High Seer, believing them to be prophetic. After their 'death', Supply Tower 2 was renamed to Commemorative Resupply Tower Re'eer.
R'chzne[edit]
R'chzne was part of Pfhor High Command over Lh'owon. In the Despair timeline, they were hunted down by Tycho and killed through vacuum asphyxiation.
St'ngr[edit]
St'ngr was a Pfhor Science Officer 2nd Class. They studied the breeding habits of F'lickta, and attempted to learn more about the S'pht's physiology, eventually kidnapping a few and attempting to dissect them.
