Lore:Pattern buffer

(Redirected from Pattern buffers)
A pattern buffer onboard the UESC Marathon.

Pattern buffers were an advanced technology that allowed a person's body and mind (including memories) to be stored as digital data, effectively creating a backup of the person in case of their death.

Most notably, during the contact event in 2794, the Security Officer made use of pattern buffers on the UESC Marathon to fend off the Pfhor invasion of Tau Ceti IV.
