The '''contact event''', was a historical attack that took place in [[2794]] in the [[Tau Ceti]] system. It was humanity's first official contact with intelligent aliens.

== Overview ==
The [[UESC Marathon|UESC ''Marathon'']], humanity's first interstellar colony vessel, was attacked by the [[Pfhor|Pfhor Empire]] in two waves. The initial was repelled thanks to the efforts of a single [[Security Officer]] aboard the ''Marathon'', but the second wave saw massive orbital bombardment that disabled the ''Marathon'' and significantly hindered the development of the [[New Cascadia]] colony.
