- "I remember seeing the pyramid from outside, during the day, and thinking that it looked empty and abandoned. I couldn't have been more wrong."
- — Claude
The Pyramid was a strange ruin located in the Yucatan Peninsula, over the site of a Dreaming God that had been dormant on Earth since its arrival 64 million years before the present day.
Overview[edit]
The pyramid was built over the location of an ancient "god" that had arrived at Earth in prehistoric times, causing the K-Pg extinction event.
Despite its location, the pyramid was neither Aztec nor Mayan in construction. It was supposedly of Jjaro design, built as a prison for the sleeping god.
Layout[edit]
Its interior was built in a series of maze-like levels, descending through:

History[edit]
An indigenous tribe, the Tlecoatcha, had lived near the pyramid for centuries.[1] Rumors of the pyramid's existence began circulating in archeological communities in 1930. In 1938 a German expedition ventured into the pyramid. In 1978, Spanish-speaking treasure hunters found and entered the pyramid.
In 1994, US Special Forces were deployed to the pyramid to detonate a nuclear device two kilometers beneath its surface to prevent the awakening of a sleeping god. Sergeant Eddings successfully detonated the nuke, destroying the pyramid and extracting as the only surviving member of the task force.[2]
Artifacts[edit]
A number of strange artifacts were found inside the pyramid, some from previous expeditions, others with unknown origins.
