Description[edit]
Pfhor fighters are lanky, slim, grey skinned humanoid aliens with three red eyes and a tail-like structure in the back of their heads; they wear light armour, a gas mask and decorative drapes hanging on the waist, similar to those of the Pfhor Trooper and the Pfhor Hunter, and although they use a gas mask, they are not vacuum enabled. This enemy type is the main force across the trilogy, with consistent ranks, health and attacks; the only exception is in Marathon Infinity, with the Guard rank.[1]
Gameplay[edit]
They use two attacks, depending on the rank and type. The basic fighters, which have Minor and Major variants, use a melee attack from their shock staff; while the Projectile variant, which also have Minor and Major variants, use a ranged attack, also from the staff. The main difference between ranks and variants is the attack frequency and the hitpoints they have.
The fighters have overall low health and attack, which they try to compensate by rushing and swarming the player, this makes them fill the role of cannon fodder.
Trivia[edit]
Captains, scientists and other named Pfhor appear wearing the fighter uniform, yet in some cases their rank is superior, which leaves the question if it's just a military uniform or artistic choice.[2][3]
