In Marathon, items are categorized into rarity tiers and may also have special oddities that affect value, behavior, and gameplay effects.
Rarity tiers[edit]

Item oddities[edit]
Item oddities can affect a weapon or item's value, rewards, stats, and modifications. They may also change how the item behaves, potentially altering its form factor or turning it into scrap.
