Rarities

In Marathon, items are categorized into rarity tiers and may also have special modifiers that affect value, behavior, and gameplay effects.

Rarity tiers[edit]

Item modifiers[edit]

Item modifiers are effects ontop of a weapon that can either increase its value or decrease it.

Unique Uses fixed upgrades; mod slots are locked Cannot be customized
Bloodthirsty Gains value by eliminating hostile Runners Resets if player is downed
Materialist Grants additional Standard and Enhanced salvage on exfiltration Extraction reward bonus

Enduring Increases item value upon successful extraction Reward scales over time
