Lore:Pthia

"[...]for countless orbits we spun dreams into tangible reality; dreams that vibrated as the tide ordained; for pthia; for lh'owon; beyond self; we give thanks; to the tide; for the phtia; we serve the ebb and the flow"
— Unidentified S'pht[1]

Pthia was a figure mentioned in the mythology of the S'pht, who acted as the consort of the god Yrro[2].

It was believed in S'pht mythology that Pthia accompanied Yrro as they both fled "all W'rkncacnter", bringing with them the S'pht to the desert world Lh'owon that they might terraform the planet into a lush paradise, with "marsh and sea, rivers and forests". However, the W'rkncacnter soon came to Lh'owon, and Pthia was killed. Yrro would grieve the loss of Pthia, and in his anger he flung the W'rkncacnter into Lh'owon's sun, alongside scattering the S'pht into eleven clans to live in the paradise they'd built[2].

Trivia[edit]

  • The name Pthia bears similarity to Pythia, a title in ancient Greece that was given to the high priestess of the Temple of Apollo in Delphi, serving as its oracle.
