Clones are genetic copies of individuals, utilized in the manufacturing of biomata shells. They were noted as being lighter than cyborgs, more adaptable, requiring less maintenance, and costing half as much.[2]

On May 3rd, 2888, Traxus submitted an order for 2,500 C Series clones, 300 S Series clones, and a secret order for 5 P Series clones. They would amend this order the next day.[1] On May 25th, the Traxus Oxia Pulse mining operation on Mars collapses. 53 workers died, but 304 workers using cloned biomata shells were saved thanks to the neural eject-catch system. The incident was used by Traxus to promote the efficacy of biomata for dangerous work conditions.[3]
