Traxus Intelligent Systems was founded in 2095 with the goal to, "create an entity that could pierce the veil of the cosmos and unlock the enigmatic secrets that lay hidden in the celestial abyss"<ref name = "eSrcTraxus1"/>. The companymigrated to Mars in 2145, under the new name: Traxus Interplanetary Corporation, and refocused itself to the resource extraction and mining sectors. <ref name = "eSrcTraxus1"/>

===Crash of Traxus IV===
In 2206, 5 of the AIs within the Martian Net were infiltrated by the [[Rampancy|Rampant AI]], [[Traxus IV]]. The event would subsequently be known as the ''Crash of Traxus IV''. The situation was resolved when the Martian Planetary Net was shut down. The damage Traxus IV had done would slowly be unraveled over the course of the next 2 years. ==Project Goliath Complications==
With the breaching of [[United Shipping]] and the leak of Project Goliath, Traxus leadership began conspiring how best to handle the situation. In-house and Freelance [[netcrawlers]] were deployed to get access to United's data. Initially covert and risque, the entire situation slowly became a powder keg. [[MIDA]] and the Runners gained access to Traxus leadership's chatrooms and began following their leads deeper into the conspiracy. <ref name = "ARGDOC"/>

As the entire Project Goliath file was leaked, talks with the [[UESC]] stalled overnight, and Traxus began pursuing its own independent presence on Tau Ceti IV. <ref name = "ARGDOC"/>
