The Server Slam was a free open preview of Marathon (2026) that lasted four days, from February 26th to March 2nd, 2026. The game went on sale three days later, on March 5th. The Slam served as a stress test for Bungie's servers, and as a means of familiarizing new players with the game's complex and challenging systems.
